Responsibilities
1. Lead activities in emerging automation technologies scouting, stay up to date on the latest advancements, develop in depth knowledge in automation and related fields.
2. Identify and develop a network of industrial and research organizations in automation, establish collaborations with strategic partners.
3. Work closely with internal automation and process experts in business groups, lead the running of the automation community, develop in depth knowledge in user cases, and facilitate the introduction and implementation of emerging automation technologies.
4. Collaborate effectively with automation and data scientists, engineers, and other researchers across geographic locations.
5. Build up automation system prototypes with the integration of hardware, software and programming for common business groups applications if needed.
6. Communicate results through reports and presentations to diverse audiences (both technical and non-technical).
Qualifications
1. At least Master degree, and equivalent experience in industrial process automation, intelligent control, industrial robot, mechanical engineering or related fields.
2. At least 10 years of working experience in either in industry or academia.
3. Strong knowledge of industrial automation and intelligent control, experienced in automation, machine vision and robotics.
4. Knowledge of artificial intelligence, machine learning algorithms and data analysis techniques is a plus.
5. Strong communication and presentation skills.
6. Strong ability to build relationships, ability to influence others.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Fluent oral English and excellent English writing skills are required.
