This is a LPS China legal counsel role. The appropriate candidate will be based in Beijing.
Reporting to LPS Head of Legal and Compliance in Hong Kong.
The legal counsel will be a member of LPS legal team headquartered in Hong Kong.

Roles & Responsibilities
• Draft/review/negotiate technology related sales and procurement contracts for new and existing service offering and attending to legal enquiries.
• Assist with the identification and management of commercial legal risks in relation to LPS’s local business in the PRC and cross border activities if relevant.
• Assist LPS legal team to implement internal contracting and compliance policies, procedures and processes at LPS offices in the PRC.
• Assist with contract management relating to PRC executed agreements.
• Assist in the refinement of existing standard contracts and development of new agreement templates.
• Provide legal advice relating to PRC legal and regulatory issues.
• Provide legal support and training from PRC law perspectives to business units and support functions on a wide variety of legal matters including compliance, employment, data privacy, IP rights, dispute and litigation.
• Manage and work closely with external legal counsel when needed.
• Handle projects (ad hoc or otherwise) when needed.

Requirements
• Bachelor or above in Laws.
• Qualified PRC lawyer with 3-5 years of PQE.
• Both law firm and in-house experiences are preferred.
• Native Mandarin speaker and fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Relevant experience in the technology industry is an advantage.
• A good team player and ability to work independently.
